On 14 May 2023 at 9:00 am, the Vice Provincial of Salesian Province of Dimapur, Fr Nazarius Lakra, presided over the perpetual profession ceremony of Cleric John Kharia SDB.
The mass of perpetual profession opened the day’s proceeding which took place in St. Francis Xavier’s Harmutty Parish, Assam. On this occasion 11 priests, Sisters from neighbouring communities, Parishioners, as well as girls and boys from the hostels were present. This was followed by a felicitation programme to honour the newly perpetual professed. The people who attended the event had the opportunity to witness the celebration which manifested one’s commitment, dedication and hope. They were able to gain a greater understanding of the life of Salesian Congregation and the importance of perpetual profession as well as the significance of the event it. The celebration of perpetual profession in the parish brought lots of joy and satisfaction to the newly professed and the others.
