Newly Appointed Bishop-Elect Rev Fr Benny Varghese Receives Heartwarming Visit from CRI Unit of Dimapur

Dimapur 2 July 2023: The Conference of Religious, India (CRI) Unit of Dimapur paid a joyous visit to the recently appointed Bishop-Elect, Rev Fr Benny Varghese, on July 2, 2023. Led by Fr Benny James SDB, the president of CRI, and accompanied by Sr Mercy Philip MSMHC, the treasurer of CRI, Fr Jenson CM, the previous President of CRI, and Sr Sicily, superior of DC convent, the team gathered to offer their congratulations and well wishes to the esteemed bishop-elect.

Upon arrival, the CRI Unit members presented Rev Fr Benny Varghese with a traditional attire, a beautifully arranged bouquet of flowers, and a selection of delicious cookies as tokens of their appreciation. The atmosphere was filled with warmth and excitement as the team engaged in friendly conversations and shared news and future plans.

Amidst the delightful exchange, the visiting group had the opportunity to capture some memorable moments with the newly appointed bishop, taking photographs to commemorate the occasion. Their joy was multiplied when they learned that Rev Fr Benny Varghese himself is actively involved in farming, demonstrating his down-to-earth nature and commitment to a well-rounded life.

Eager to offer further support, Rev Fr Benny Varghese graciously guided the CRI Unit members on a tour of the Priests’ home and its surrounding campus.
