Don Bosco Alumni Dimapur to Host Unprecedented Fusion of Music and Bollywood Glamour on January 7
Dimapur, Nagaland – 25 November 2023: In a groundbreaking initiative, Don Bosco Alumni Dimapur is set to host the inaugural edition of Bosco Fest Nagaland on 7 January 2024 at Don Bosco Dimapur. This unique fusion of music and Bollywood glamour promises to be a celebration of the rich tapestry of Indian music and cinema, transcending boundaries and marking a landmark event for the region.
The concert, set to be bigger and better than ever, will feature the legendary Indian band Euphoria, known for their anthems that have resonated globally. Joining them will be Bollywood’s evergreen playback singer, Abhijeet, renowned for his chart-topping hits. The lineup also includes a diverse array of supporting artists, ranging from rising stars to local favorites, showcasing the vibrant musical landscape.
President of Don Bosco Alumni Dimapur, Imti Imsong, highlighted the broader vision of “Don Bosco Fest Nagaland.” He expressed that beyond being a mega Bollywood concert, the event aims to unite the people of Nagaland and the North East through the universal language of music. Additionally, the goal is to empower the youth for a sustainable and innovative future. Imsong expressed gratitude to Rev. Father Stephen Chazhisseri, Principal of Don Bosco Dimapur, for the support in organizing the event.
Manishankar Das, a past pupil of Don Bosco Park Circus, Kolkata, and part of the organizing committee, emphasized the initiative’s commitment to youth empowerment. He explained that through the Salesians of Don Bosco’s extensive network of schools and youth centers worldwide, they aim to use music as a platform to unite people and contribute to the larger community.
Special highlights of the event include Interactive Fan Zones, providing fans with exclusive merchandise, photo opportunities, and more. Culinary delights will elevate the concert experience, and a limited number of VIP ticket holders will have the chance to participate in meet-and-greet opportunities with the artistes backstage for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
